Water Bearer made for a nice little stop while waiting around. The space is cozy and calming, and they had a decent menu. Service seemed decent. I tried the golden milk latte, which was delicious and one of the more unique coffee drinks I think I’ve tried in a while. The sumac and spice leaves a good, lasting impression. I’d have no qualms over visiting this cafe again.

Water Bearer Cafe is one of those rare places that instantly feels like a favorite. Located in a perfect spot in Traverse City, it has a warm, creative aesthetic that sets it apart from anything else around. The coffee is absolutely delicious—and made even better with their house-made syrups that give everything a personal, handcrafted feel. Their food is just as thoughtful. I highly recommend the yogurt parfait—it’s fresh, flavorful, and gets even better with a side of brown sugar. Every bite feels like it was made with care. But what truly makes this place shine is the people. The staff are kind and delightful, and the owner is such a joy to talk to—genuine, welcoming, and clearly passionate about creating something special. Whether you’re just visiting or a local, Water Bearer Cafe is a place you’ll want to return to again and again.

Almost made the mistake of settling for whatever coffee was available on DoorDash while on vacation, and I’m glad I didn’t. Made the walk to the Warehouse Mrkt to support a local business. I ordered a cold brew with cream and maple cinnamon syrup and couldn’t pass up on the smutty burrito once I saw it on the menu. The coffee was perfectly brewed and the syrup made it even better. It’s a shame that I’d have to make the hours long drive to get another Smutty Burrito, because it was easily the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had.

A vibey gem! I’ll make any excuse to stop into this coffee shop! Love their seasonal beverages and their menu items are sure to hit the spot. The staff is always friendly and welcoming no matter the time of day. This is a must go place for when family and friends are in town and my kiddos love their juices and smoothies. I love they have a wall full of locally owned businesses and their cards and you can browse the plant shop next door while you wait on your order. The owner has curated a dreamy atmosphere!I love supporting a locally owned/woman owned business!

I think you’re my favorite! Iced latte with brown sugar cinnamon cold foam, you won’t regret it. Consistent and great shots of espresso, quick service, great roast on their beans, all around quality drinks. I would say to those who visit to be prepared for their ordering model. They don’t always have someone posted at the register. They take a few orders, make some drinks and then come back to take more orders. I love when it’s warm outside and they open the windows fully, it’s so nice. Thanks for being an inclusive, delish spot in our town ❤️

This was a great coffee shop! I enjoyed the light chatter and “community” this coffee shop brings in and represents. 🌈 I was pleasantly surprised that the yogurt parfait was made with whole milk plain Greek yogurt (yes I ask to see the ingredients when I stop at a coffee shop 😂). If I were to change anything it would be having fresh berries instead of the homemade strawberry compote, but I’m more health conscious than most, and prefer it less sweet and more natural. I also ordered an Americana with a splash of cream. Really nice smooth coffee! Highly recommend. The baristas were friendly and entertaining!

As I was searching for a spot to read this morning I happened on Water Bearer Coffee in the warehouse district of Traverse City. And I'm glad I did! I ordered the egg and havarti sandwich on wheat; but you can also get it on a Bubbies Bagel or white bread as well. I also had the Carmel Latte. I asked if it was sweet and was encouraged to let the barista know how sweet I wanted it-- on a scale of 1-10 in sweetness I like the 11. The atmosphere was pure gold. From the mural on the wall to the owners sweet personality, I give this place a 10/10. I fully enjoyed the instrumental music and quiet chatter from happy guests. Support local community and check out WBC!

Locals favorite. Really friendly staff and lovely coffee shop near the beach. Highly recommend for their inclusivity, kindness, and nice indoor-outdoor space. Also a great spot to gather info about what’s happening in TC. I miss the old bagel sandwich but there’s plenty of good stuff on the menu.

We were in town for Valentine’s Day with our teens and started things off at this wonderful coffee shop. While we played games, we had a delicious coffee with house-made syrup, a chai, and a smoothie to drink. Plus the Bougie Toast, mini waffle special and a bagel to eat. Everything was exceptionally delicious! The ambience was bright and inspiring and the staff was friendly and patient while we tried to make our order decisions. We visit independent coffee shops just about everywhere we travel around the world, and this sweet little shop stands out. Plus the unique boutique next door is a must-visit! So glad we happened upon Water Bearer!

What a fantastic little hidden gem! Ordered off of their Mexican inspired coffee list and would do it again… every time… so I can try them all. Got an everything bagel with scallion schmear and holy hell, the amount of scallions in my cream cheese gave me happy feelings throughout my whole body.
